With modern interior designs, view of the magnificent twin towers in some of their rooms, connecting-room options, 4-star ibis KLCC premium quarantine hotel offers reliable internet connection, good food in general but always delivered cold, excellent booking and airport transport customer service. Trying to reach the hotel’s front desk line can be an arduous task at times. It’s a quite a dread for the PUS especially when they are not able to dash down the reception desk themselves.

Reviews on their Standard Package food standard however are regrettably not as spectacular. On reflection, if there is no distinction between the Standard and Premium Packages, what’s the incentive of getting the latter?
There are complaints about the time outside delivery food is sent to the room, usually at 5-6pm, and truth be told, this is the typical practice across the board due to Covid SOP apparently.
Delivery service from their in-house convenience store is available.
Premium: From RM1450 for 5 days. Free airport transfer and ONE PCR test.
Standard: from RM1200 for 5 days. Free airport transfer (subject to Sharing Basis) and ONE PCR test.
Reopening Traveller Package: from RM228 nett per night per pax. Includes: breakfast, packed welcome meal upon check in, one professional RTK (results in 15-20 minutes)

The basic amenities you need
Comfortable stay, clean, modern room. The Premium Package offers salads and fruits in every meal. Decent with good variety food in big portion, always on time, but not served hot which is understandable. Internet wifi connection is good. All communication via WhatsApp group. Thanks to Ibis for allowing my essential items to be delivered earlier to my room! Some rooms have view of KLCC twin towers. Connecting rooms are available. Comfortable airport transfer ride.
Aug 2021: (SP at ibis) However for the swab test, there was a super long queue, alot of people packed like sardines and there was no social distancing at all.
I booked the Standard Package and got allocated to the “ibis KLCC hotel”. After immigration which took approx. 3h, I was able to collect my luggage. Then a few other people and I were taken to a bus that dropped us in front of the hotel.
My stay was comfortable. Everything was well-organized; the rooms are clean and spacious; nice view from the 24th floor; the food was tasty (there is also an option to order food and other things from outside); great reliable internet connection; basics are provided such as toothbrush, soap, slippers, kettle, towels, etc. — overall highly recommend the SP at ibis KLCC!! Room is a bit small.
There is a WhatsApp group to inform us about the PCR test on the third/fourth day of quarantine or other quarantine-related things, which is quite convenient.
Room is good, but poor quality food for Standard Package, cold. It feels like they are pushing you to buy the upgrade by giving you BARE Minimum.
- Very bad experience having quarantine here. Receptionist was not helpful at all, never pick up call from room. The only good thing here was food only.
- After complaint, service & food improved. Abby Low help a lots. Keep it up
- During stay served a cold food for 7 days. Even when ordering food from restaurant its still delivered cold.
